The book I mentioned recently is starting to take shape. It's non-fiction and I have mild publisher interest, so I am trying to get a first draft done in full before presenting it. This would be my first "real" book because the one I wrote before is not something I am very proud of. I guess it's cool in some circles but it's not what I wanted it to be, and I had enough help on it that it didn't feel like mine when it was done, even though I wound up with sole credit on the cover.
The funny thing is that I will not be revealing the name of this new book if and when it does get published, because that would give away my real identity, which I like keeping secret. Part of it is due to what I'm writing about and what I do for a living. It's important to keep these worlds apart.
Suffice it to say that I'm not writing inflation stuff right now, but I am writing and working toward a very realistic and tangible goal, and it feels good. The ball is mine to drop and I don't want to drop it.
